    The major iv

OK, not issued on Motown but Mickey Stevenson and Willie Hutch are Motown royalty. Given the interest in The Major IV, here's another Mickey Stevenson release on Venture by the group. Definitely got that Willie Hutch signature guitar ...

The Major IV were The Majors, from Chicago, managed by Ruth Moore, which coincidentally, featured not only Joe Buckner, but also Larry Montgomery. The latter was an uncle, and the adoptive father of our longtime SDF member, and good friend of mine, Don Montgomery. Anyone here remember Don? I forget what SDF username he used, but I think it had "Don" as part of it.

I wonder what the connection between that group and Mickey Stevenson was, that caused him to sign them to his LA label, Venture? I remember Larry mentioning what it was, but I've forgotten it, over the last years, now that I'm losing long-term memory, too.
