Don't Burn No Bridges, by Jackie Wilson and The Chi-Lites, sounds very much like the overall sound of a Temptations song during their early 70s period. I wonder who wrote the song and arranged it?

It was written by Romaine Anderson and produced by Carl Davis and Sonny Sanders. Arrangement was by David Van DePitte. The Chi-Lites are included in a Wkipedia list of Motown acts!!

There ya go, Eamonn! David Van DePitte was one of Motown's highly-regarded music Arrangers. That explains the Motown-sounding arrangement. That Chi-Lites tenor sure sounds like Eddie Kendricks, doesn't he! If I didn't know better, I'd swear it was him.
