Credited as Diana Ross & The Supremes, I assume this was unfinished and as such it remains as a Diana Ross solo. There is a released Diana Ross solo version with a quite different arrangement which I dislike.
I have never previously liked Diana Ross solos but I think this one is fantastic, the arrangement with a trumpet lead throughout is captivating. Why didn't they release this version? [[My personal opinion of course, others may prefer the released version).

I can't reasonably limit my response to just one, but I'll go with these three:
1. The Temptations version of Carolyn Crawford's "My Smile Is Just A Frown [[Turned Upside Down). That baseline goes hard, and Eddie's round, rich, and full falsetto is in fine form, to say nothing of those dense BGVs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a318O_7lQ8M
2. Marvin Gaye - For Us Both I'll Be Concerned. A beautiful, creamy ballad with beautiful harmonies by the Andantes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDRQn_IFq8k
3. The Vancouvers - The Bells/I Hear Them. Bobby Taylor proves why he is one of Motown's most underrated male vocalists with this beautiful gem. I also love the fact that it places on display Marvin Gaye's creative workshopping of the two hits he produced on the Originals, "The Bells," and "Baby I'm For Real." - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7f6Lct1nJY
What Motown kept in the vaults due to the label's rigorous quality control would have easily been released on another label. Yet another testament to the undisputed supremacy of Motown!!
