My local radio station has a Soul Power Lunch Hour that I listen to every chance I get. Today they played a song that they feature often and I was curious to know what you folks know or think about it.
The singer is Marion Jarvis and the song is titled "Hell of a Fix." While it was playing, I researched it on Discogs and according to their database, it was her one and only 45. It was released in 1973 on the Roxbury label.
That surprises me because she has an awesome voice and it is a very well-written and produced song. The theme is typical other woman fare, as she laments the pain of loving a married man.
Since I only heard it on the radio, I cannot link it for you, but I am just betting that one of you will have it on here in no time. If so, I will be interested in seeing if any of you agree that this was a talented soul sister who certainly deserved more than one 45.
