    Doin' It To Death

Does anyone know why this song is called "Doin' It To Death"? and NOT the obvious "Funky Good Time" or "Have A Funky Good Time"?

According to Wikipedia, the title 'Doing It To Death' was from a figure of speech that James Brown heard Fred Wesley use. Other than that, it's unknown why the song isn't called 'We're Gonna Have A Funky Good Time' since that phrase is used thruout the song.

Mary Love told me that in the early 70's, the crowd who supported the Black Panthers up in court used to chant a certain line. It took her a while to realise it was a line from one of her recordings [[the line used not being the title of the track).
