Today would have been Wanda's birthday

Heard on the radio today that Wanda Rogers would have turned 81 today [[meaning August 9th.) Hard to believe so much time has passed but we have so many memories of those good old Motown songs. They played Don't Mess With Bill after making that announcement and I had heard Hunter and Beechwood earlier in the day on Sirius XM.

It is wonderful that they acknowledged that today would have been her birthday. Her legacy lives on and on and on. She was dynamic but she left a great remembrance in her music that she was an integral part of.

Remembering Wanda Young [aka Wanda Rogers] on the date of her birth. She'll always be thought of as one the Great Voices of Motown's Golden Era thanks to her work with The Marvelettes. Rest In Music & Peace Wanda.
