    Services for Duke Fakir

Hi all: I've read a number of articles about the passing of Duke. I wanted to make you aware that one article said the following: Services will be private, but details for a public celebration of his life and legacy will be announced later. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Duke Fakir’s honor to The Motown Museum.

Have you noticed any printed condolences being expressed by Motown alumni? And if so can you share??

Hi Boogiedown. I am a member of a 4 Tops Facebook Group called Four Tops Family. There are a number of condolences posted there that members, myself included have found from different Motown artists' walls or their representatives that have been included. Additionally, condolences have been expressed by organizations, singers that weren't Motown alumni but were personal friends of Duke's as well as other musicians that worked with him and the 4 Tops. You might want to check it out. The group is very well run. I'm happy to share. You might have to put the following in your browser. Here's the link. https://www.facebook.com/groups/584438638275896

Hi again Boogiedown and other 4 Tops fans. It struck me that I better inform you about the Facebook group Four Tops Family. You are going to have to really do some scrolling to see the condolence messages from the singers, Motown alumni, Duke's friends, etc. because MANY people have been posting things about Duke and the 4 Tops during this sensitive time of Duke's passing. Also, many new people have joined the group in the past several days. I think there were 34 or 35 in the last group of new members. There are statements from Otis Williams, Smokey Robinson and someone found a statement from Berry Gordy among the alumni. There are other nice messages from other well known artists, you need to be patient with scrolling. Just giving you a heads up.
