Find attached an EMI advert from November 1964. One of the singles included in the ad stands out.
With regard to that 45; SS242 [[Mary Wells -- What's Easy For Two), I guess this was being re-promoted following on from the UK success of her "My Guy" 45. This single [[SS242) had originally been released in November 63, with "Easy For Two" being the B side. No doubt the track's UK club popularity was known of by EMI staffers & so they flipped the single and gave it a new push a year later when Mary needed a 'new' record for her fans to buy.
Obviously "My Guy" was her last US Motown single, though it would have been great if they'd gone with the proposed follow-up [["When I'm Gone").
Can anyone here confirm if that was the case ?
