This is great to see and hear the hits and the standards. Thank you for sharing this.
Curious as to why they didn't do a more recent hit record. Seems like they were selling a Vegas act instead of a pop act. They were at their height in 1967
This was one of Motown's pitfalls. I understand how crucial it was for the success of the label and the groups to play places like the Copa and Vegas, but it could be overload sometimes. They should have done at least two of their hits for this. Something like "7 Rooms of Gloom" or "Standing In The Shadows of Love." At least "The Look of Love" was a hit popular hit at the time, but they should have done two songs from their catalog, not just one.
Thanks to blackguy for sharing this clip of The Four Tops on The Mike Douglas Show. The brief interview segement that they did with Mike [with the story about receiving a letter from a sniper threatening shooting The Tops during their performance at Central Park] was very interesting. And while I would've preferred hearing one The Tops then current hits [instead of "The Look Of Love" & "Mame"], at least we do get part of "Shake Me, Wake Me [When It's Over]".

We thank blackguy69 for bringing it to the attention of those of us who do not frequent YouTube as much much as others. And there are those who, on the YouTube page, actually do thank the person who shared it on the YouTube forum. If that person was you, we do appreciate that you shared it.
