    Additional details from Edsel/Demon UK:

Throughout her career, Lulu has worked with some of the best in the business. In the space of ten exciting years, straddling the 60s and 70s, her recordings were produced by the stellar list of Mickie Most, Arif Mardin, Jerry Wexler, Tom Down, Giorgio Moroder, Wes Farrell and David Bowie, with arrangements by the likes of John Paul Jones, Johnny Harris and Peter Knight.
The songs included early gems by the Bee Gees, Harry Nilsson, Neil Diamond, Randy Newman, Elton John and Bernie Taupin and classics from David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Lennon and McCartney and many more. The hits featured include “To Sir With love” [a U.S. number one], “The Boat I Row”, “Love Loves To Love Love”, “I’m A Tiger” [written by Ronnie Scott and Marty Wilde], “Boom Bang-A-Bang”, “Oh Me Oh My [I’m A Fool For You Baby]”, The Man With The Golden Gun” [John Barry’s theme for the Bond film], “The Man Who Sold The World”, “Watch That Man” and “Take Your Mother For A Ride”
This annotated 5CD set is also extensively illustrated with many archive photos.

well I see one Motown song on there :

Hee Haw I didn't know Lulu took a stab at this ditty. Kenny Nolan sure shopped it around :

Yep; Lulu covered a lot of different styles in her career from Pop and Motown to Southern Soul & even Country. On a related note, she's doing a 60th Annversary/Farewell Tour this year according to this piece from Best Classic Bands.com.

I give Linda Carr the edge on "Take Your Mama for a Ride." The male backing vocalist {Kenny Nolan?} is mercifully less present on Linda's version.

I checked out the parent album but sadly Linda throws in the gimmicky shriek that she used in her Brit hit, "High Wire," too many times for my liking.

I also like Dobie Gray's "Honey You Can't Take It Back" much more than Lulu's.

The track from that album of Lulu's that had hit potential to my ears is "Old-Fashioned Girl." It might have done something for a country pop singer in the Marie Osmond or Olivia Newton-John vein.

Lulu's next album, a one off on Elton John's Rocket Records, was a much stronger set than the Kenny Nolan dominated one. It's never been released on CD, strangely enough, even though it contains a Billboard Top 20 hit - "I Could Never Miss You {More Than I Do}." Melba Moore covered that one.
