Thanks for sharing this clip Ralph! Haven't seen it before but it's a good look at what goes into the mixing process of a Classic Hit [Diana Ross' "Upside Down" in this case].
Now i'd like to get my hands on the multitrack.
Man! That brings back the old school way of mixing 24 track masters.
You had to have great ears and Russ Terrana has the best!
Pleasure to have worked with Russ and Ralph.
Stay blessed and in good health my friends!

Glad you liked it, Roberta.
Thanks, Ralph. Really enjoyed that! If only it were about an hour longer! I'll never forget your once sharing with us the fact that Russ was the ONLY Motown engineer who Berry would allow to mix Diana's masters. That is one helluva compliment bestowed on Russ from THE head of Motown!
Glad you enjoyed it Gary. I, too, wish it was a little longer. I used to love watching Russ mix. It was somewhat spooky knowing he was hearing things most people could not. When Russ was still in Detroit, Berry would send a master tape from L.Á. for Russ with one specific instruction regarding the song --- Mix it.
