In October 1967, he played a gig @ the Ram Jam Club in London ...

Very cool footage, thanks for sharing it. I can't say I've really searched out 1960's footage of Jr. on Youtube, I think I'll have to do that. He put 100% into his performance, that's for sure!

More info on that 1967 UK tour undertaken by Junior & his group.
At the time the top London club for celebrities & the super rich was Sibyllas, a £million club project. The club lasted for 2/3 years before it was deemed 'not in vogue' anymore by it's clientele. Jnr was high enough profile with it's members for the club to book him and advise folk to book early for this show in order to be sure to get in -- like most clubs frequented by celebrities & the super rich, the place had a real problem with folk just turning up & expecting to get in just because of who they were.
Even though the club's members were 'loaded', Jnr & the group still only got a performance fee of £150 [[$370).
In addition to this 'super club', Rik Gunnell also booked the group into local black clubs [[where the film was made) and allniter sessions frequented by a young mod / soul fan crowd [[California Ballroom, Dunstable + Tofts, Folkestone + Twisted Wheel, Manchester). Attachment 20692

Another gig on that tour; this one up in Manchester.
Junior was so popular, they did 2 separate shows that night.
An 'early' one for local fans -- they could watch the 1st show & still be out on time to catch the last bus / train home on the night.
An allniter session -- for fans from further away who'd catch a train / bus to get to Manchester on the Saturday evening, would watch the 2nd show at around 1am & then dance for the rest of the night. They'd then catch the 1st train / bus on the Sunday morning to get back home.Attachment 20693
