Within the last 2 weeks here in the UK we’ve had Shelly Berger in mainstream news bulletins asking audiences not to treat the about to open Ain’t Too Proud as a concert and not to disrupt by singing along. We’ve had an in-depth interview with Smokey in leading national newspaper The Guardian covering his career and new album Gasms. And last Sunday revered DJ Johnnie Walker conducted an extensive interview on national Radio 2 with Otis Williams covering the Tempts' musical evolution and Ain’t Too Proud opening at the Prince Edward Theatre in London. Otis was keen to say how Jawan Jackson went from playing Melvin to actually joining the Tempts as bass. Pretty good contemporary coverage for original artists from a label that started 64 years ago, huh?
