    Close, This picture is from MAHOGANY. It's a projection on a screen in a scene in the movie ,that takes place in a show. I checked it out from my DVD. That makes it circa 1976.

    Oh, ok. I didn't know it was used in Mahogany, and I thought I was familiar enough with the film. There are some pics shown in a slideshow at a party in the movie that were later used on CD compilations.

    I just remember it being used as a new publicity shot around 1978 as if it were a new look for her. It's the same shot used on the Pops, We Love You LP cover [[1978). I even have a [[1979?) newspaper clipping about her leaving Motown that uses this picture. There is also a wide shot version that shows cleavage.
