It will be fantastic to hear her perform those hits again. Random album cuts get in the way when wanting “I’m Coming Out” and “I Will Survive”.

I truly hope it's a celebration of all her #1 hits, rather than the same show she's been presenting for years. If it's truly her #1's, "hit after hit" from her solo career is 6 songs. So "her time with the Supremes" would be the bulk of the concert.

What I'd like to see is a "storyteller" series: perform all of her #1's in order, then add little antidotes before each song. She could have accompanying video to go along with it, and truly make it something special.

Will she finally sing “someday we’ll be together”. Is this just a crafty way to announce this tour? Isn’t her show already a celebration of the #1’s with some not so favorites sprinkled in?

I will definitely be in attendance but I'm not expecting anything substantially new. But I would like to be pleasantly surprised.

I'll be surprised if the setlist is anything other than the same one that we've all become accustomed to, during the past 15 years...

    I'm Coming Out
    More Today Than Yesterday
My World Is Empty Without You
    Come See About Me
    Baby Love
Stop! In the Name of Love
    You Can't Hurry Love
    Love Child
    The Boss
    Upside Down
Love Hangover/Take Me Higher/Ease On Down the Road
    Don't Explain
Why Do Fools Fall In Love
Do You Know Where You're Going To
    Ain't No Mountain High Enough
I Will Survive/All We Do Is Win
Q&A segment [[talks about her kids)
    Reach Out And Touch
...maybe Thank You or Home [depending on her mood lol]

Thankful that we still have her with us and gracing stages, but I wrote that entire setlist based off on memory alone, because it's been the same one for almost 15 years [she also used to do Touch Me In the Morning, The Look of Love and It's My House].

Hopefully it will be different this time around, but I'm not holding my breath. BUT...if she comes to my neck of the woods, I'll go see her!

yes , and hee hee .

now I'm wondering which of the #1s are not considered the "greatest".....maybe then, its a disclaimer for not doing TOUCH ME ITM if she doesn't favor singing it ....

    and:
......and "my time" with the Supremes .... carefully chosen wording ...

Could this finally be the end of the road for “I Will Survive”. One can only pray lol.
Seems a shame if she doesn’t perform anything at all from “Thank You”.

Well it all depends on what they will consider to be the #1s ? Which chart? When they did the #1s on CD they included “Reflections” and “I’m gonna make you love me” because they hit #1 on Cashbox and the R&B charts. They also included “The Boss” and “I’m coming out” because they were #1 on the dance charts. And she has dozen more that went #1 on several different other charts.

When I saw her in September at Radio City Music Hall she did about 5 Thank You songs: Thank You, If the World Just Danced, Count on Me [[with Tracee and Rhonda), and parts of I still Believe and Tomorrow, last two largely lip synched.

As for this tour, I suspect it will be the same hits show she's been doing for years. I won't attend as I decided that the concert in September at Radio City would be last time I'd see her. I hope those who go will have a great time and she mixes up the set list a little bit.

Fingers crossed that she is really making this a tour to remember. I just hope this isn't some kind of farewell tour. I'm not ready for Ross to hang it up.

She should actually do Come See About Me and Baby Love and TMITM and Upside Down

Add Reflections, LILAIIMH, Endless Love. If Someday were added what a treat! Get Lynda back for strong backup. Or Scherrie or both, no advertising

It’s hard to do Where Did Our Love Go - not a good live song; and some lines would need to change in BIMAA

It’s doable but she’s been doing a Greatest Hits tour for years and hell Gloria Gaynor is a friend and IWS went to 1. So it stays - JK!

She could also add The Happening, Love Is Here and You Keep Me Hangin On

There’s lots of room for change

Snap. When i went to see her last year i mentioned to friends this would be my last unless she was doing something new. We actually decided to leave early then having to sit through a never ending “IWS” for the umpteenth time. Quite frankly i would sooner spend my money on going to see a good play or a concert that offers something new.
I am grateful for all the great Diana concerts i have attended over the years, and wish those who do attend a great evening.

I know what you mean, Spreadinglove and Ollie. I had said that when I saw her last in 2019, it would likely be my last time as well. It was such a strong show for multiple reasons, and I've felt that it would be hard to top that. At this point, I've seen her 10 times since the year 2000, and part of me would rather stop, and go out having seen her at her best, versus continuing to see her again and again, and risk feeling that the show wasn't as good as the previous one. I would hate for that to be the case. However, I also struggle with the feeling of missing out! I found out last night she's going to be doing a show in a city that is about 2 and a bit hours from me. Top ticket price is $200 US, which would end up being the most I've ever paid to see her. It would also likely mean having the added expense of booking a hotel. I'm leaning towards not going. Although I wish a great time to everyone who is planning to catch her on this tour!

I also attended Radio City and am pretty sure she can't top the overwhelming feeling of excitement and connection but I'll still go again- because time after time I'm surprised by some aspect of her show that is new. That's not to say that there aren't any ho hum "oh this again" moments. But I'm willing to never rule out the opportunity to attend, that she will inject some new things that make it worthwhile either in songs ,additions, staging, arrangements, visuals or guests. That said I'm hoping this announcement means she will change the set list substantially [[esp. the Supremes tunes) but I won't count on it.

I too am not holding out hope for a fresh show. But, Ross has all the musical arrangements from RTL that could be reused. If she only adds "Someday We'll Be Together," I think most will be satisfied.

I join the cringe chorus about "I Will Survive" and "More Today Than Yesterday."

I keep dragging my husband to her concerts, because "this might be the last time we get to see her perform". Each time we have a great evening and part of it is she enjoys herself and the audience, her voice is strong and good, and she does Diana Ross so well with everything you want and expect from her concerts. I usually drive 7 hours or fly 2 hours plus all the other expenses.

I am exactly the same! The last 3 or 4 times I saw her, I swore it was the last! But it's all too tempting to see her "one more time", especially if the venue is decent and the tickets affordable. I don't know that she'd do the MN State Fair again, but I thought her performance there was magic. Just a perfect night!

I hope she'll come to these parts again, and we can meet up, but please, let's have dinner or a drink before or after! ♡

Diana Ross announced a short 2023 tour. Here’s how to get tickets today
Story by Matt Levy • 5h ago

It doesn’t matter if you love Motown, R&B, pop or disco — you’re in luck this year.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Diana Ross is taking off an eight-show ‘Music Legacy Tour’ from May 5 through July 1.

“I’m coming home to the US to sing hit after hit from my solo career and my time with The Supremes,” Ross shared on Instagram. “It’s going to be a love fest.”

Midway through the brief trek, the 79-year-old singer will hit the Garden State when she plays Atlantic City’s Etess Arena at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on June 24.

And if you can’t wait to hear singles from her time with The Supremes, solo smash hits, or tracks from “The Wiz” soundtrack, you can grab tickets as early as today.

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, March 31, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

    Diana Ross 2023 tour schedule
A complete calendar including all tour dates, venues and links to buy tickets for all eight shows on the ‘Music Legacy Tour’ below.

I read a similar statement in an article about Queen+Adam Lambert's upcoming tour, for which tickets also go on sale this Friday. Queen announced that any tickets being sold by any other resellers before Friday's general sale date are not legitimate tickets. It seems sketchy to me that these resale websites would have access to tickets ahead of the official sale date.

if youre not gonna love me right
    not over you yet
    tenderness
    give up
    aint been licked
    in the ones you love
    promise me you;ll try
    love is here and now
    i hear a symphony
    come see about me

    turn up the sunshine
    he lives in you
    aint no mountain high
    come in from the rain
    hard for me to say.

Totally agree. I love and respect the lady with all my heart but i wouldn't pay out to see her in concert these days. I did catch three of her shows in the UK last year. I was fortunate not have to pay to see the shows and i have to admit i would have felt short changed had i paid to see them. She has her good days and she has her not so good days, but she always makes the audience feel special. Opportunities to catch her are going to become increasingly rare and i am sure her mere presence on stage will be be enough for some people. I would be surprised if she made any drastic changes to her current set but we can live in hope. Enjoy the show!
