    RIP Otis Redding III

    Am reading reports that Otis Redding's son, Otis III, has passed.

    Aw man, I'm sorry to hear this. I met him back in 1982. I used to be in a group called LA. Connection. Larry Blackmon of Cameo signed us to his production company, and produced our album released on MCA. Larry brought Otis in to play on one of our songs, and yo, that Brotha was funky as hell! Real nice dude as well. Didn't have an opportunity to meet his brothers that was their group The Reddings with him, but I was a fan of their music. Rest In Power Brotha Otis! My condolences to his family and friends.
