Such sad news. What a great musical legacy he created. He will be proud, looking down, seeing how this legacy continues through the generations with young musicians still making his wonderful music.
    May you rest in peace.

Jim certainly instigated an astounding musical institution and battled through some daunting, nigh impossible challenges. But he leaves us his lasting legacy of beautiful, soulful music. Like Boogiedown I too hope his final years were happy. Thank you Jim, Estelle, Al and everyone who made magic at 926 E. McLemore. May you rest in peace Mr Stewart.
