    I went with a friend to a Neil Diamond concert around 15 years ago and it was unlike anything I would have expected. I'd say I've been a casual fan of Neil's music for years, so when I got an invitation to go to a live show, I thought why not. Wow. WOW! I'll say this- even the most casual of fans would NOT have been able to sit still at that show. The man had a way of getting people on their feet and singing along at top voice. After the concert, it was even more incredible. Every, and I do mean EVERY bar, every place with a sound system was blasting Neil's music outdoors and so everyone was walking down the streets singing "Sweet Caroline" as if it were the world's hugest singalong ever conceived. You gotta respect a man with wattage like that.

    @Waiting,

    Wow, What a great experience. I imagine you’ll never forget that feeling of being out on the street and everyone singing from the same hymnal, quite literally, for once!

    Agreed. I saw Neil live in NYC a few times and it was transporting.
