More Motown CDs Being Released Sep 21, 2022 In Japan

Here are a few CDs that are being released In Japan Sep 21st.

Val Young-Seduction *Previously released on Vinyl Masterpiece.

El DeBarge-El DeBarge *This hasn't been issued since it first came out.

Garry Glenn-Feels Good To Feel Good *I believe this has only ever been released In Japan

Guinn-Guinn *This was recently available through Funkytown Grooves On Blue Records.

Dazz Band-On The One *First time this has been released on CD.

Dennis Edwards-Don't Look Any Further

Mary Jane Girls-Mary Jane Girls

Also Ashford & Simpson-Solid *Not Motown But Long Out Of Print.

I don't suggest buying directly from CD Japan as I previously bought
4CDs @ $10 each and had to pay Fedex To Ship which charged more
than the actual CDs. Then I got an invoice from Fedex to pay taxes and
customs fees. So I ending up paying $125 for the 4CDs.

Try and find them from sources in your own country. Hard to get out of paying customs fees if ordering outside the country.

Thanks Jack020 for photo of Garry Glenn's CD US version. I know it was released in Japan several years ago much later than 1987 and is extremely hard to find. I bought the LP when it came out but never knew there was a CD.

Noel, that was a mighty expensive lesson to learn! I've seen unGodly-high shipping prices on Goldmine, but I had no idea that there were further taxes that had to be paid. Thank Heaven for American CD dealers like Import CDs to buy from who offer a great selection at a reasonable price.

Just to clarify I live in Canada and the $10 was in US Funds. Just recently the gov't changed purchases outside Canada. We now have to pay 13% sales tax on anything we buy plus Fedex charges a fee to collect the sales tax. The $125 is in Canadian Funds.
I just ordered some of the above from ImportsCds so will see what happens.
Customs use to select a few parcels so most times I never had to pay but they now seem to crackdown on everything coming across the border.

Very exciting to see these vault releases get reissues, particularly the Gary Glenn. However, the shipping cost would be a little too dear for me here in the U.S. Thanks for posting!

Why not try, for example, neco kick in the USA? I know there is a premium on the delivery price here, but that's to the UK - they wouldn't charge that to US purchasers would they?

These are listed as forthcoming on the Dusty Groove website. Never paid anything other than standard state tax and shipping.

These new CDs are currently listed for pre-order on Amazon Uk for just over £21 each - they're bound to come down.
