No, not the Dolly song.
The Andantes sang on hundreds, if not thousands of backing tracks, which leads me to believe they were recording constantly. I do have their book, but don't recall: did the ladies have day jobs?

Not to my knowledge. I believe they were basically on call as needed.
agreed. they lived in detroit and were pretty much as the studios constantly.
here's an interesting discussion topic. Motown acquired Golden World records and folded them into the overall org in 68. GW was also located in Detroit and their studios became "Studio B" while the old hitsville building was "Studio A." Were there any recording studios in the larger building in downtown Detroit or was that just administrative?
so the discussion is were the A's driving back and forth between Studios A and B? or did producers use A for specific things [[like backgrounds) and B for others? did they just go ahead and start adding additional backing groups? we know the women from the Undisputed Truth did some on Still Waters and perhaps some of the Sups work with Frank Wilson.
Brenda of the the undisputed truth had mentioned doing background work for Frank before the Undisputed Truth was formed. According to Brenda, Her and Billie did the initial background vocals for up the ladder because Mary and Cindy were doing the last shows with Diana. Then Mary and Cindy came in and did their vocals.
Weren't the strings often added in Studio B?
