Motown's William 'Mickey' Stevenson headed to Songwriters Hall of Fame

Yet another Motown alumni to be honored as of late. Congrats to Mickey!

I get that. Mickey and Ivy Jo were indivisible.

I met him after the second Susaye and Scherrie concert at Vitello's in Studio City. As I reported at the time, he is the most elegant, humble gentleman. We were both in the parking lot waiting for our cars after the show, and when I praised his music, he acted as if I was the first one to compliment him. He had that ability that some celebrities do to make you feel that meeting you was as exciting as you meeting them. My only regret was I forgot to tell him I was a Detroit native and I failed to get his photo [[with me in it of course!) as I did for Scherrie and Susaye!
