What Motown Songs Began With No/Very Little Intro Before The Vocals ?

Not a favorite style of DJs at radio stations who liked to have room to speak over an intro, and not done much, [ added: but much more than I realized !]

but what Motown songs wasted no time in getting into the lyrics??

This one comes to mind right away:

I didn't realize this thread had gone on for as long as it has. Interesting topic for sure. The only other ones I can think of at the moment that have not already been mentioned are two by Jimmy Ruffin.......Baby I've Got It and World So Wide, Nowhere to Hide, both of which are among my favorites by him.

There's quite a few of these I wouldn't categorize as not having an intro. As for my contributions to the list of songs that just get right to it:

Without the One You Love- 4 Tops
You'll Never Cherish a Love So True- Delphis
    Try It Baby- Marvin Gaye
I Can't Let My Heaven Walk Away- Stevie Wonder
    Buttered Popcorn- Supremes

This one is the opposite way round not even an intro or the song title! There's only one with two letters "It" Ron & Bill [Ronnie White & Smokey]

Two letter song titles. The only ones I can think of, Motown anyway, are "It" and "As". I guess that might make another good thread.

There's also "He" by DRATS for the "In Loving Memory" LP. Al Hibbler did the original version in the '50s.

I'm surprised that so many names were mentioned and this one was left out. One of my favorite all time songs

One of my favorites too. In fact I mentioned "Up The Ladder To The Roof" in post #19 on this thread as an example of a Motown song with with little or no intro before the vocals.
