Diana Ross performing at North Sea Jazz, Rotterdam, Holland - Friday 8 July 2022

Finally after the cancelled concerts in 2020 Diana Ross will perform at the North Sea Jazz Festival in July on Friday the 8th. Unfortunately, Lionel Richie is not on the program anymore, like he was 2 years ago. That would have been a nice opportunity for some duets. And Nile Rodgers of Chic will be performing the next evening on Saturday. It would have been nice if he would have backed Diana on bass on Upside Down.

the line-up for Friday 8 July with Diana Ross performing after George Benson and Marcus King and before Gregory Porter. And that's only on one of the 14 stages

Setlist North Sea Jazz, Friday 8 July 2022

    I’m coming out
    More today than yesterday
My world is empty without you
    Baby love
Stop! In the name of love
    You can’t hurry love
    Love child [[salsa version)
    Chain reaction
Don’t explain [[Lady sings the blues)
    Upside down
    Love hangover
    Take me higher
Ease on down the road [[The Wiz)
Why do fools fall in love
    If the world just danced
    Thank you
Do you know where you’re going to [[Mahogany)
    Ain’t no mountain high enough
    I will survive

Diana Ross' voice is in fine form as revealed in her sensual phrasing throughout "Don't Explain". I guess "Our Love is Here to Stay" is back on my concert song wish list. "Oh my,...".

Great review that says she was in much better voice than Glastonbury.

Great that she is in better voice and is giving good concerts. She is a 78 year old legend and best to enjoy her concerts while she is still with us and out there performing.

Couldn't agree more! Looking forward to seeing her when she returns to the U.S. And will happily take whatever she can give...although I will grimace a bit if she does 'More Today Than Yesterday.'

She sang 2 songs from her latest album, the title track "Thank you' and this one "If the world just danced".

I edited some of the footage I filmed at the concert. I was pushed by the dancing crowd so had to edit out a lot, especially when I had zoomed in. But you’ll get an idea of the enthusiasm of Diana, the band and the audience.

She looks and sounds so much more relaxed then those last few UK appearances.
