it's still the official group called "the supremes" that recorded for motown. sure the lineup changed and the style and sound evolved. but it wasn't a separate group, they continued to build on the legacy of the previous years and each new iteration added to the overall history

Circa you are so right. They should have just included songs under the name Diana Ross and the Supremes, not the Supremes. They'd have maybe four songs to choose from.
