Motown Shoutout in Beatles Get Back doc.

Enjoyed watching the Beatles 6 hour documentary recently.
Also enjoyed how they played off each other, you could tell they were in sync with one anther. I picked up on a few Motown things, i.e. Ringo was going through a bunch of Smokey albums, Stevie Wonder was mentioned a few times and the most impressive was when George Harrison brought up Reach Out and started singing it while the others also did the same. George was telling Paul Get Back should have the same feel as the great HDH song.

The Beatles were always huge fans of Motown and it's good to hear they referenced The Motown Sound in their recent documentary. Thanks for the news TMD.

So was Mick & the Stones! He's always referenced JB as inspiration for his dancing style. And gave props to Motown liberally in concerts and interviews. He was one of the backers of Get On Up, JB bio with Chadwick Bozeman as JB! Great flick by the way.

Yes Indeed! The Rolling Stones along with just about all of the acts from The British Invasion were big supporters of Soul Music. Mick Jagger not only produced the James Brown bio pic, Get On Up, he also produced the JB documentary, Mr. Dynamite: The Rise of James Brown.
