On ABC's "Nightline" last night, one of the segments was about the documentary "Summer of Soul" featuring David Ruffin, Gladys Knight and The Pips, etc. It talks about Maurice King and one of his descendants talks about "Martha and The VandellIZE" Never heard it pronounced that way before.

We watched this segment and were alarmed/amused by the “vandalize” pronunciation as well. That story about the family of the deceased 29-year-old attendee was remarkable.
