    DJ Rogers, Jr. – Emosoul / Motown – 440 016 702-2

Potentially a great debut album for DJ Roger's Jr', scheduled for release 2002 on Motown records was shelved and remains unreleased.

I have a copy of this cd and wonder whatever happened between DJ Rogers Jr and Motown to have his debut cd shelved.

I saw a CD of his in my favorite [last standing?] used shop over the weekend. Does he sound like his dad?

No, he doesn't. It's easy enough to find out. I just go to youtube, type in his name and a number of his tracks and videos pop up. He has, at least in 2002 had an octave and some
change. He could stay in key but he doesn't exactly have anything especially unique in
his tone or delivery. No Say You Love Me in Jr's back catalog for me but hey, to each his own. I'm inclined to agree with the late Maurice White, Daddy deserved to have gotten
    bigger....

I realize it's easy to find out, splanky, but didn't have time today and wanted to hear others' assessments.

I have that cd. A good friend of mine was working in the industry at the time and was gearing up to start preparing promo for the project. He told me that DJ Jr. was so difficult and problematic that it was shelved. It was also reported that he and his father were estranged.
