On This Day Video from 9/6

I just saw this bit this morning regarding on this day in 1995 the Motown Cafe held its grand opening. I wonder where all the memorabilia went? I bet they could've had an auction or some of it should have gone to the Motown Museum.

Nice memory and I am happy that I made it there once. I guess I did not realize that it only survived for five years.

A friend and I went during a quick visit to NYC. We were only going to be in the city for one day and the Cafe was the first place that came to my mind. I do remember having a particular fondness for their lasagna . But I also remember seeing a photo of Kim Weston that was misidentified as being Brenda Holloway or vice versa.

My brother & I were guests of Martha Reeves for the Grand Opening of the Motown Cafe at Universal Orlando. What a GREAT time it was hanging with Claudette Robinson, Bobby Rogers, Jermaine Jackson & others.I tried to take a framed photo of Mary Wells onstage that I had never seen before off a wall, but it was chained to the wall, Claudette & my brother were dying laughing at me.Wonder what happened to all that stuff.
