Freda Payne coming to Bucks County, PA - new album announced.

I just saw where Freda Payne will be appearing at the Bucks County Playhouse
through early September dedicating the show to Ella Fitzgerald.

The story concludes with the announcement of her new album LET THERE BE LOVE which she will graciously autograph at the end of the performance.

Does anyone know anything about the new album? First I heard anything about her in recent times.

I did catch her Ella show in NYC a few years ago. It was a very good evening of song. At at the end, she threw in either BAND OF GOLD or BRING THE BOYS HOME.

Dang, I don't know why it didn't occur to me to mention Freda's latest release here on SDF
but I've been enjoying some of it quite a bit over the last month +. It's a jazz album,
primarily. I like her duet with Dee Dee Bridgewater which mashes together the standards
Doodlin'and Moanin"...It's where she started out, Duke Ellington himself was a fan of her
voice, so it didn't surprise me at all she would return to it....
