Just checked the setlist. I think I've only heard her do "Only Love" and "Voice of the Heart" live once, and I enjoyed both performances, so this might be interesting. Just sucks to see "I Will Survive" apparently taking up a chunk of the show.

This was the show I saw at the Wolf Trap, before Take Me Higher was released. It was quite exciting to hear the new numbers without knowing them. I remember the audience [[and I too) was very impressed by I Thought We Were Still In Love, very intimate. I Will Survive started, I was blown away by surprise. As she said it was her anthem, I thought she would sing Reach Out and Touch, and then... "At first I was afraid..." Little did we know she would keep it in her act for more than two decades.

My thoughts exactly. Before TMH was released, I saw Diana in concert on two successive nights. The new material was great and seemed to point to a special upcoming album. But when she sang I WILL SURVIVE, I was totally surprised and wondered why. No matter. It got a great reaction from the crowd. And when she introduced it on the second night, she mentioned that it was on the upcoming cd and then it made more sense.

While leaving the venue, I talked with a few fans who seemed to liked the new material. It seemed a shame that the cd wouldn't be out for another month. But on a visit to Tower a few weeks later, I lucked out and found a European import.
