Everybody knows [[but you) - The Marvelettes

I know that on this record Ann sings the lead and I would like to know if there is a coincidence that The Andantes sang the backround because The Marvelettes were not available or they did not want to sing the backround vocals?

    Hope somebody can clarify….Thanks

Motown's producers had been using The Andantes on most of [if not all of] The Marvelettes' recordings ever since 1965. So it's no surprise that the other members of the group didn't do the backgrounds on "Everybody Knows [But You]" from '69's In Full Bloom LP.
