    "Nightflight" Tue May 3, 9P-12M ET....My Dusty Tribute...the Finale!

    Attachment 2939

Howdy Folks! Well...I have to admit it....I almost bumped the Dusty Finale. What's the only thing in the world that would make me bump Dusty part 2? Well...suffice to say, I have something I was asked to not play until next week [[or possibly the week after)...and being the upright, honest and straight-shooting guy that I am...I struggled with it [[*chuckle)! But good won over evil...and tonight...the Dusty Springfield Tribute...the Finale! More great hits and rarities
from the Dust...and some very special things too. I love to hear Dusty talk about music...and tonight...she will. So join me tonight for tons of Dusty...and more...on "Nightflight"...on WOMR 92.1 FM Provincetown and WFMR 91.3 FM Orleans and streaming live worldwide in digital stereo at www.womr.org
    Thanks! John

P.S. DO join me next week or the following week [[5/10 or 5/17...I'll let you know as soon as I can)for "The Return of Andy Skurow!" I know...he was just on "Nightflight" a couple of weeks ago....so why so soon? Can't say...but what I CAN say is that is that it won't be in snippets

Hmmmm. Could it have anything to do with gynecological symbolism? Well, that'll be something to look forward to. Tonight is Dusty Part Deux! Would love to hear "Everyday I Have To Cry". Thanks John, see you on the radio!

The gynecological symbolism is the something that's coming next week or the week after. Tonight is Part 2 of the Dusty Celebration. No gynecological symbolism here, just great, great music!

Thanks John. Fred and his four inch long legs are waltzing across the room to "Just A Little Loving." Dusty sings this even better than Peggy Lipton!

All I have to do is stay awake. I must add, you are playing some really great music tonight. As an aside, two of my favorites by Dusty are Welcome Home and Breakfast in Bed.

Dusty, The Supremes, Peggy Lipton. The Hollywood Palace got all of the big musical stars of the 60s.

    Hi John

Just woke up at 4:10 am, so I've missed a bit but hopefully it recorded.

.....As much as it pains me to say it, Cilla Black sings this with the passion that the song needed. As I recall, even Randy Newman agrees

    John

Gene Pitney and Dusty were both on an edition of RSG. There was a competition for fans who had to recognise who sung a speeded up version of 24 Hours From Tulsa. The answer was Dusty's version and the prize was won by Paul Howes [[who ran the Dusty Bulletin).
