Central Park to host ‘iconic’ concert celebrating NYC’s return from pandemic--? DIANA

NYC will stage a massive concert at Central Park, Mayor de Blasio announced Monday.

While many details — including the performers – were still being worked out, he promised it would be “classic” and “iconic.”

And this morning, while watching a report on the TODAY SHOW about Bruce Springsteen doing a concert in a Broadway theater, the reporter mentioned that "they are also talking about who is possibly being part of that concert in Central Park....a lot of rumor, big acts there, including Diana Ross."

They have been talking about the new Central Park concert here for weeks, but this is the first time I heard Diana mentioned as part of it. Of course, the key word in the reporter's statement was "rumor".

If the offer were to actually be made to Diana, do you think that she would accept and participate?

She might. It could be a way to ease back into it without the whole weight of a repeat Central Park performance on her shoulders. But I'm not sure how comfortable she is performing right now post Covid.
