Melvin Davis cd and Vinyl Release Concert in Detroit

Hello to all SDF members. Thanks for having me on the forum. I am posting for Melvin "Find A Quiet Place" Davis in hopes that Detroit area members will make their way to The Lager House on Michigan Ave. in Detroit, Michigan this coming Friday, May the 6th. Melvin is throwing a party in his hometown to celebrate the release of his Vampi-Soul/Munster career retrospective cd and vinyl compilation entitled, "Detroit Soul Ambassador." Mel and his band, The United Sounds, will be performing all of his great r & b and soul gems from 1960's and 70's. The soulful Mckinley Jackson will be featured on keyboards as band leader of The United Sounds. Please come on out and support an evening of pure Detroit!

I'm a little out of the territory, Hastings, but I wish Melvin well on his new CD. With Mckinley Jackson on keyboards it is sure to be a dynamite performance. Keep us up to date.

That is really great news. I saw him last summer here in New York, unfortunately I can't make it back that way until June for graduations. All the best to him though. I know that they are going to Par-tay!
