The Mad Lads - By The Time I Get To The Phoenix

I am not that real familiar with The Mad Lads but I really like their version of "By The Time I Get To Phoenix". I really like the background they came up with. This is not the full performance sadly.

Biggggggggg Mad Lads fan since I was like 16 years old. There's a fake group video performance of one of their hits on youtube but this is a very good clip of the real deal.
John Gary Williams on lead, smooth as he wanna be...Mad Lads forever....

I am something of a fan myself. Discovered them totally by accident when looking through some 2nd hand cd's several years ago. Picked it up and thoroughly enjoyed it.

That's awesome Lockhartgary, I can imagine it. Such a great version.

Splanky and Bluebrock, do you have any recommendations to listen to? I like to learn more about them.

John Gary Williams was the superb lead vocalist.....

when he went solo, this track was on his solo album from Stax.

Still as appropriate for the world today as it ever was...
