This is N-I-C-E!! Was not expecting such a straight reading from Ella.

I am not what you would call an Ella fan, but If I were I'd definitely have this album in my collection.

Both this and a follow up album "Things Ain't What they Used to Be" are excellent cover albums with lots of neat covers of popular songs of the day. These two albums are very uncharacteristic of Ella's albums. She rarely did full album's worth of covers of pop tunes. I love both of these as they are so different from her jazz recordings. Her cover of Sunny is unreal.

And this from the Tom Jones Show

These are the only Ella Fitzgerald albums I have but they are pretty good!
