    "Urban" Music

I lived in the suburbs, when Diana Ross' albums, as well as other black artists, were filed under the "Urban" it was a disservice to her career.

    Any thoughts on this?

Female vocalists is the section that the songstress Diana Ross encompasses.

    were by Caucasian female vocalist.

During the time of Ella Fitzgerald's albums, there was not an "Urban" record section.

Did this hurt the careers of jazz singers?
