Thanks, Reese!
This is at the top of my "must have" list! I love her voice. She has endured so much over the years and to still have a testimony...well, count me in.

Get it, Merry! So glad you've endured.
I had no idea of her personal trials over the past decade. How awful that must’ve been to lose both her legs following an accident. What a lady. I always loved her voice and I had one of her solo albums but I don’t remember playing it very often. But this one I’ll be sure to get. I would love to hear her singing gospel music.
I am overjoyed to hear that Merry is still in the game. Talk about a survivor! Thanks for sharing this.
So good to see her and so good to hear that she has made a new album. I will be buying it when it's out. Thanks for sharing.
It's so Wonderful that Merry Clayton has recovered and is recording again! Thanks Reese for the news.
This album was produced by Lou Adler with a little help from her friends

Bumping this thread so we can continue the discussion about Merry Clayton's new CD in one place.
There was a really nice full-paged article in yesterday's NY Times re Merry and the new album. I'm not sure everyone will be able to access it but I will post the link anyway.

Merry on CBS NEWS SUNDAY MORNING.
"...I'd better get myself together and make it through, too"
Ain't it the truth!
Thank you for sharing this, Reese. It's an inspiration to see and hear Miss Merry Clayton. I have two copies of the new CD -- one I preordered and the other was gift from someone who knows I love her. I haven't had a chance to listen yet -- so much going on -- but I expect to love it. She'd better win a Grammy! There is no other voice of her era [[besides Bettye Lavette) that sounds as untouched by time.
