    Nat King Cole's Four Versions Of The Christmas Song: 1946, 1946, 1953, 1961

    The very first version was first recorded June 14, 1946 [[not released until 1989) .




    Next , this version Aug 19, 1946 with added strings [[as Nat wanted)

    Interesting that he would re-record it 3 more times. I knew there were 2 versions but was not aware of the others. The 1961 release was the one I grew up on. I like that version the best [[probably cause I heard it first). Thanks for the post and Merry Christmas to you and all the SDF folks.
