    Love Motown remixed JAP release

    http://themjplace.com/2011/03/07/new...ing-jackson-5/

Release Date: 2011/03/23, This is a really interesting album, instead of just releasing an original Motown omnibus compilation again, LOVE MOTOWN takes the classics from such acts like Jackson 5, The Supremes and Martha & The Vandellas and gives them a new Techno / Electro-House twist. It’s pretty much like what the Soul Source releases have been doing for years. The remixes featured are Hayashebe Tomonori [[part of Plus-Tech Squeenz Box), Sexy-Synthesizer, tofubeats, livetune, Yoshino Yoshikawa and more.
    Track List

I'm one who hates those techno remixes of Motown classics. It's like taking the Mona Lisa and transfering her image onto a black velvet background. Those Motown classics shouldn't be over-laid with noise, artificial/techno instrumentation. I have been guilty of creating remixes myself...but I only add the original instrumentation to extend the length of the song...not to change the whole presentation to something that is merely louder and pulsates.

I am in MJ's camp here but I try to keep an open mind. For example, Tom Moulton's "Stoned Love" was brilliant.

It gets to me that it's normally the more famous tracks that have been heard so many times. Plus...and this is a big one....nobody seems to want to do the Velvelettes catalogue and I think this is an opportunity that is being missed.

Thank goodness for MJ and his remixes...and by the way..check out these fabulous extended versions from the ladies.
