Lil Kim, Muscles, and Diana Ross

Does anyone remember the story of Lil Kim wanting to use "Muscles" in one of her songs, and Diana Ross saying No? I don't recall where I heard this. Anyway Lil Kim did indeed use the track. Can someone fill me in? Here is the LK song:

you can´t mess a great track, typical late 90s bad boy production, but i like it a lot. i wonder if diana was the one who sad no, when the track was written and produced by michael jackson and he was the one who held the copyright.

MJ wrote and produced it, but I believe it's Diana's voice singing "Ooh-woo-woo..." And Ross was the executive producer.
