This was a very interesting album, "Motown Remembers Marvin Gaye Never Before Released Masters." Vaulted material from the 60's [[and maybe a couple from 1970?) What was interesting was that there were extensive overdubs featuring either newly recorded music or additions to the original Funk Brothers tracks. Funny story; I was kinda ticked off about those overdubs. So much so that I took my album back for a refund! But something must have been working because I ended up going and buying another copy.

I actually thought "Lonely Lover" worked extremely well. "Baby I'm Glad Things Worked Out So Well" and "Dark Side Of The World" also sounded great. Out of all the cuts, I really loved this one, "That's The Way It Goes." Nothing of the original Funk Brothers tracks seems to have been supplanted and the modern 80's dubs compliment the Funks really well. Did any of you here on Soulful Detroit purchase this album?
