What a terrible year 2020 is turning into? No mention of cause in the link but he's scarily close to my own age. We seem to lose someone every week. I loved and still love the whole Slave/Aurra connection. Spinning "Slide" and raising a glass to the my namesake. RIP

Ohio bred funk bands like Perdue bred chickens but Danny was certainly a prominent
player in one of the finest and I loved his style. At the bottom he could sound like Sly
but he had smooth tenor and nice falsetto on top.Slave's story from the early years
through the Steve Arrington years when Danny got to shine even more, could stand a
thorough re-telling. In the two Marks, both Adams and Drac Hicks, they had the most
lethal bass and guitar assailants this side of Funkadelic. Danny's rhythm was no slouch either. RIP, little brother...
