I have that song. Great cut. In fact I have all of the songs mentioned in this and the other
thread. I just don't get why you want to call every subject variation or stylistic approach
a separate genre...Martha and The Vandellas did a few songs that had an element of danger in their titles. Heatwave, Live Wire and Quicksand. Were they not still R&B? I could
stay with the theme of these songs and go outside of the genre straight to the blues. To
John Lee Hooker's I'm Bad Like Jesse James. True to the current theme but then I'd be
    going off subject, wouldn't I?...

well don't get burdened down by all that Splanky. You'll notice I put genre in quotes this time , sort of mocking myself for using that word. So what's a better one ? I'm just observing trends in popular music , certain things that catch on for awhile ...so maybe that's the word ? A trend. Topics , sounds, a stylizing, that leads one to the next.

This song does have that 'warning' concept to it doesn't it :

    quite pleasant. lol!

It was actually an update of one of his early tunes, I'm Mad. Mick Jagger once said of it
John Lee Hooker could scare the sh*t out of you. I always thought that was both funny
    and true...
