Somethings you never get used to ..... so surprised and happy to see one of Ross’ strongest vocals on the list.

That's indeed a very nice list. Guess Martha tries to be modest by not adding too many of own songs. I would have added Heatwave which to me shouts out 60's Motown. I am surprised as well she added Somethings. Wonder what she likes about the song. I definitely like it.

There are three tracks omitted from the BBC playlist!

    Baby Washington - I Can't Wait Until I See My Baby's Face *
James Brown - I Got The Feeling *
Rufus Thomas - Walking The Dog *

Thanks Copley, my apologies. Although I recorded the programme, I had only listened to the first half an hour at that time, and I then got the track listing from the BBC website. [[Memo to self: Don't trust information from the Internet without checking first!

Nice list from Martha but I really don't find anything really eclectic about it. It's nothing
outside of what one hear on a classic R&B/Soul broadcast. I could see if it mixed other
genres. Even staying close to what is called Black music or the strains of music from people
whose roots came from Africa, there is no blues, jazz and almost no funk. Still I know
    it's from Martha's timeline...

With so few records played charting in the UK, I can't help wondering how much the playlist appealed to the average listener to the show.
