That's like picking low hanging fruit. I could add most of Louis Jordan's and the Coasters' records and keep this going for weeks. And with that being said

Ralph and I would like to know which of you actually heard these songs on the radio back when they were big hits? You might have had it on an album. Inquiring minds would like to know ....

BTW -- Ralph generally remembers the artist and I tend to remember the lyrics. He played many of these songs while in the Sunliners.

9A, I generally only ever bought Motown records.

All others were either heard on UK radio from around the time of their release dates, until the present time - or via the internet.

I bought my first album after I got my license and first job in 1978. Some of the songs I post here and in other threads were recorded since then but probably 70% of the music I reference was heard on Mom and Dad's console in the '60s/'70s or on oldies radio.

    Absolutely, 9A.

All in the process of cheering up ourselves, and others.

Some of the classical music which is considered 'intelligent' could plunge you into a real depression...

Like compositions by Mahler? Don´t know much, but I know what I don´t like.

[[Even Ralph is having fun. We sometimes listen to some of the oldies or weird ones on Youtube. Notice he locked our threads onto the top two spots.)
