Sammy Davis Jr - "Something For Everyone"

Maybe not the greatest album - and not the greatest review here - so probably won't see a CD release any time soon.

The review states it torpedoed his relationship with Motown but he came back for more later and recorded "Hello Detroit" which I think is a very good record.

I'd buy a Motown Anthology of his work. Come to think of it could there be any tracks on Motown unreleased 1970 ?

Nice that they show recording dates here and say where you can get hold of the tracks on the album.

A quick look on Amazon reveals where each of the tracks on the album can be found in the Sammy Davis "Selected Hits" series of downloads. There is an assumptions that these are vinyl lifts. Also an assumption that the version of "My Way" is the one off this album and not a Reprise label recording.

You can just buy the selected tracks.

Clicking on the various links seems to answer the question of any unreleased Motown material there might have been from 1970 as basically it seems he negotiated to take them with him.

Four of the tracks - all produced by Jeffrey Bowen - made his album "Now". Seemingly the rest were auctioned off after he died and their whereabouts is unknown.

Marvin Gaye apparently wrote some tracks for Sammy Davis and recorded some demos.
