What a weird combination - skipping over Barbara's fantastic Detroit-recorded mid 1960s Enterprise Records recordings [[much closer to her Atlantic period and style), and combining it with her 1970s recordings.

You're right, Robb, the upcoming Barbara Lewis set would have been been better [[and more complete) if it included her Enterprise recordings. I'm assuming they were not included because of licensing issues. Fortunately, those Enterprise recordings are readily available elsewhere. Stax UK [[Ace Records UK) has a CD that includes the Enterprise album "The Many Grooves of Barbara Lewis" plus three bonus single tracks that were not on the original LP.
