    Edwin Starr Twofers Question

I know that I have the two UK issued twofers by Edwin in my collection. But were there ever any US released twofers by him?

The only one I know of, is the one that paired "War & Peace" with "25 Miles"

…seems I'm ready to upload the 5000 series cd.

One a side note, the old 1986 2fer is the first cd I ever bought on eBay.
I bought it from a gentleman who used to be a regular poster over here, and on the old MBB. :-)

Thanks guys. I knew I was not crazy and that somewhere deep in the dark recesses of my collection, I had a third twofer.

The UK 2-fers are so much better planned. The pairings of the albums make more sense [["War and Peace" and "Involved"), the packaging doesn't look like a rush job, and they usually included a few bonus tracks which at the time was quite a find. I wish I had the Starr 2-fers but they seem to only be available at very high prices.

It's also a shame Starr never had an Anthology such as those put out on the Spectrum label [[I think it was), like Billy Eckstine, Chuck Jackson, the Elgins, and several other of the second tier Motown acts. Those have a wealth of rare material on them.

That's a good point regarding the lack of an Edwin Starr anthology. Suspect it's because of his albums being available on CDs that he hasn't bearing in mind the UK 2fers and that the Anthology sets were UK compiled as well.
