    Thelma Houston Acetate on Ebay

    Noticed this acetate of 20/08/1971 Ref P4284-MW516-Side 1A, JO = 201588.

The album number MW516 doesn't seem to fit any Mowest numbering sequence. "Blackberries" found its way onto Thelma's first Mowest album in the USA whilst none of the other tracks did. Both that and "Stealing In The Name Of The Lord" featured on the UK version of her first Mowest album as we know.

What is intriguing is that there are two tracks shown that I don't recognise:
"Love's Coming Back" at 2.55 produced by Larson and Marcellano and
"Something About You Baby" at 3.00 produced by Hal Davis.

These seem to be unreleased recordings [[makes me wonder what would have been on side 2 lol). Wouldn't it be interesting if "Something About You Baby" was the Four Tops song?

Anyhow - does anyone have further info about the two "unreleased" songs?

i would love to hear those 2 unreleased tracks this seller has this on ebay for 4 years the seller is very greedy won't negotiate $350 for this is outrageous i asked him to at least copy the 2 songs for me he didn't want to ok i can understand that but sitting on something for 4 years if the price was fair it would of sold a few years ago this is the kind of greed that's killing ebay and collecting in general

Yes it's always very frustrating when an Ebay seller will have an item listed for long periods of time and won't budge on their asking price. In the past I've kindly sent sellers an email explaining what they have and what a realistic price/value is but most of the time it doesn't change anything. For instance there is currently listed on Ebay a "Supremes fully signed autographed original tour book" for $350. I emailed the seller yesterday and explained all the tour books have facsimile autographs and that his item was not authentically signed by the Supremes and in its current condition didn't have a lot of value. He was very short with me in his reply, copied here:

    "
I know that brother and people know that or should...there are not many of these out there! Are you interested if not fine..."

I replied I had 3 or 4 copies of the program and was just trying to give him information about his item, good luck with the sale that will never happen and moved on. Some just aren't open to reason!

Instead of selling it, maybe, just maybe, he is planning to take it with him when he dies. Who knows?

Exactly no reason i write sellers in the past they either say thanks for the info or are insulted i think it's the times people are desprerate to make the most money they can on a item with out doing much or any research
